Reaching more people with microfinance

Reaching more people with microfinance

“A good example would be an organization called Kiva which makes small business loans in the US and offers microloans particularly to businesses both in developing markets but also in developed markets. And they use that technology to organize the social group in a very efficient way to support that borrower and in effect guarantee the loan of that borrower. So that essentially enables microfinance firms to very cost-effectively reach many many more people with the funding.”
