Here comes a new bucket-list experience for those craving adventures: the construction of the world’s longest-ever zip line has been announced in Ras Al Khaimah, the UAE’s most northern emirate.

The super zip line will transport adrenaline junkies over the edge of a 1823 m drop off Jebel Jais, the highest peak in the UAE, before propelling them as high as almost 400 meters above the ground and 130 km/h along a cable that will be longer than 28 football pitches.

The exact length of the zip line remains a closely-guarded secret, only to be revealed at the multi-million-dollar product’s opening.

WORLD’S LONGEST ZIP LINE

Haitham Mattar, the CEO of Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority said, “we have decided to partner up with Toro Verde, the company that developed and owns the park in Puerto Rico with the longest zip line in the world. And we are working on breaking that record here in Ras Al Khaimah, bringing a different experience, all together. This will be like no other in the world.”

The Ras Al Khaimah zip line will also act as a case study for eco-tourism, using solar energy and locally-sourced natural materials to ensure visitors enjoy a natural experience in the emirate’s mountain landscape.

The CEO of Toro Verde Ras Al Khaimah told that the zip line is going to be ready by the 1st of December.
