The Academy in Kazakhstan
Euronews Academy is an educational program aimed at enhancing professional skills in the field of journalism and media. The program for students consists of three training courses: “Digital Journalism”, “TV & Live Journalism”. Trainings are conducted in Astana. The program is open to university students and the participation in the program is free of charge. The courses are to be held within the period of March to May.

Candidate Requirements
1. Undergraduate or graduate students, after their 1st completed school year, majoring in “Journalism” “Media Technologies” “Digital Media Management”
2. GPA requirement: Minimum GPA of 3.0 (or equivalent). Students must provide an unofficial transcript indicating their GPA or a screenshot from the student’s online portal clearly showing GPA. The organizers reserve the right to request an official transcript from candidates.
3 Strong knowledge of the English language (equivalent to B2).
4. Advanced knowledge in media and journalism, demonstrated through academic projects, publications, or extracurricular activities
5. Strong motivation for professional growth and international mindset.
Contents of the application
1. A comprehensive CV in English, detailing both educational background and professional experience.
2. A motivational letter in English (up to 500 words) covering points 4-5 of Section :Candidate Requirements” and explaining why the candidate wants to participate in the program and how the course aligns with their future career goals. Please pay attention to: clarity of goals, alignment with the program, originality and sincerity, structure and logical flow, grammar and style, awareness of profession, personal qualities and motivation.
3. A signed recommendation letter in English from a professor is an advantage..
4. A copy of the student ID.
5. An unofficial transcript indicating their GPA or a screenshot from the online portal clearly showing GPA.
Documents should be submitted in one complete e-mail to academy.kaz@euronews.com. The package of documents should be in PDF format not exceeding 10MB. When submitting documents, please indicate in the subject line of the email, which course you are applying for and your full name in English.
Selection Process
The selection is conducted in a single process for all courses. Applications should be sent from March 12 to March 21, 6.00 PM (Astana time). Documents received after the specified deadline will not be reviewed. Applicants are eligible to apply for more courses in separate e-mails.
The selection will be based on evaluation of submitted documents. Applicants will be assessed against the candidate requirements detailed in Section “Candidate Requirements” of the announcement.
Applicants will be notified by email by March 27. All candidates will be informed of the outcome of their application, indicating whether they have been accepted into the program or not.
