LONDON – The House of Commons should decide if it wants to look again at the rules around lawmakers having second jobs, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s spokesman said on Monday, ahead of a debate in parliament about standards in public life.

“That would be obviously a matter for the House on the rules, if there was a consensus on looking again at that,” the spokesman said when asked whether Johnson supported a review in light of a scandal centred on how the government handled a lawmaker’s suspension for breaking rules on paid advocacy.
