(Reuters) - Poland's ruling nationalist Law and Justice (PiS) party continues to command the highest support of any political grouping ahead of parliamentary elections in October, according to a poll released on Thursday.

A poll by IBRiS conducted from Aug 24-Sept 4 showed the PiS-led coalition with 43.4% support, while its main rival, Civic Coalition, which includes Civic Platform (PO), was at 21.2%, leftist bloc Lewica had 14.1% and PSL/Kukiz'15 had 5.7%.

If those results were confirmed during the election on Oct. 13, PiS would have a majority, with 259 out of 460 seats in Poland's lower house of parliament.
