PARIS (Reuters) - Ligue 1 champions Paris St Germain have signed Spanish goalkeeper Sergio Rico on loan from Sevilla, the French club said on Sunday.
It will be the 26-year-old's second successive season away from Sevilla as he spent 2018-19 on loan at Fulham where he became the first-choice goalkeeper, playing 29 Premier League matches, but could not save the London side from relegation.
Rico will have to fight for a place in his new team with Alphonse Areola and 19-year-old Marcin Bula.
PSG said he would become the ninth Spaniard to play for them and the first in goal. He has won one cap for Spain, in a 6-1 friendly win over South Korea in 2016.
