Heavy rain battered east China's Zhejiang Province on Tuesday, flooding roads and farmland.

Precipitation surged to 108.5 millimetres in three hours in Pan'an County, Jinhua City, causing a flash flood.

The flood submerged streets and cropland and even damaged vehicles parked on roads.

The high waters subsided as the rain eased off in the evening, allowing local authorities to start disaster relief work.
