Tourists visiting Paris on Friday kept cool whilst sightseeing by taking a dip in the fountains in front of the Eiffel Tower.
With the French capital in the grip of a heatwave, temperatures reached 33 Celsius and were set to rise higher on Saturday.
Elsewhere in France, record-breaking temperatures of over 45 Celsius were recorded in the south.
