Brazil judge blocks transfer of indigenous land decisions to farm ministry

BRASILIA (Reuters) - Brazilian Supreme Court Judge Luis Roberto Barroso on Monday issued an injunction suspending President Jair Bolsonaro's move to transfer powers over indigenous land claims to the Agriculture Ministry.

Congress blocked Bolsonaro's first decree attempting to transfer such powers from the indigenous agency Funai to the farm ministry, but the president issued another temporary decree last week repeating the move.
