BRDO PRI KRANJU, Slovenia (Reuters) - The president of the European Commission, Jean Claude Juncker, said on Thursday he was "highly concerned" over an escalating trade conflict between the United States and China.

Speaking at a news conference after a political and business summit in Slovenia, Juncker said it was not good for trade if the world's two biggest economies were unable to resolve what he called a "not necessary" conflict.
