(Reuters) - The world's biggest credit check company Experian named independent non-executive director Mike Rogers as chairman on Wednesday, replacing Don Robert who announced his departure last year.

Rogers, who is also a non-executive director of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group, will take over the role after the company's annual general meeting on July 24.

The industry veteran joined Experian's board in July 2017, having spent a decade heading insurance group Liverpool Victoria after 20 years at Barclays.
