SAO PAULO (Reuters) - A first-half goal from striker Deyverson gave Palmeiras a 1-0 win over Internacional on Saturday and extended the reigning champions unbeaten start in Brazil's Serie A to three games.

Deyverson's goal from a corner kick 13 minutes into the match lifted the Sao Paulo club to the top of the league with seven points. Sao Paulo, Atletico Mineiro and Santos all sit a point behind with a game in hand.

In Saturday's other game, Corinthians drew 1-1 with Vasco da Gama at the Amazonia arena in Manaus.

An individual goal from Mateus Vital put Corinthians 1-0 up after 16 minutes but Vasco equalised with a VAR-assisted penalty from Maxi Lopez six minutes before halftime.
