WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Ankara expects the United States to extend a waiver granted to Turkey on oil purchases from Iran, exempting Turkey from U.S. sanctions, Turkish presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalin said in Washington on Tuesday.

The United States granted Turkey and other countries import waivers in early November, after which Turkey resumed imports of Iranian crude oil after a one-month hiatus.
