LONDON (Reuters) - Travis Perkins, Britain's largest materials group, said on Friday its chief executive John Carter would step down on August 5 and be succeeded by Nick Roberts, the current boss of Atkins, the engineering group.

Roberts will join the business as a director of Travis Perkins and CEO designate on July 1 and Carter will remain with the group until the end of 2019.
