CHISINAU (Reuters) - Moldova's new parliament, which is convening on Thursday for the first time, currently lacks the majority it needs to appoint a speaker and a new government, senior lawmaker Eduard Smirnov said.
Smirnov said parliament had taken a recess for the time being as a result.
