Venezuelan protesters hurl objects at police

Venezuelan protesters began to gather in Caracas on Wednesday after dozens of violent demonstrations overnight, as the opposition sought to force President Nicolas Maduro from office amid global criticism of the socialist leader.

Videos posted online showed angry protesters hurling objects at police officers lined up along a bridge in Caracas while others chanted: "Let's unite!"

Late on Tuesday, violent clashes with troops left one young man dead, a local rights group said, in an echo of tumultuous street demonstrations two years ago.
