U.S. military service member killed in Afghanistan - statement

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A U.S. military service member was killed in Afghanistan on Tuesday, the U.S. military said in a statement, without providing additional details.

"The incident is under investigation ... We will share additional information as appropriate," the statement said.
