Thousands join annual Santa run in St Petersburg

Runners dressed as Father Christmas descended on the city of St Petersburg, Russia on Saturday.

Runners from 13 different countries and 24 Russian cities raced the 1.4 mile long (two-kilometre) course.

When the race first took place three years ago, only 150 took part. This year, organisers said some 3,500 Santas joined in the fun.
