Shipwreck Christmas Tree: divers bring holiday spirit to Cyprus coast

Divers brought some Christmas spirit to a popular shipwreck off the coast of Cyprus. A white Christmas tree was decorated with non-toxic ornaments as 'Santa' divers posed in front of fish, 42 metres beneath the surface.

The sunken MS Zenobia, a Swedish cargo ship, is known as one of the top diving sites in the world. The vessel sunk in June 1980 during its maiden voyage near Larnaca Port.

The shipwreck attracts thousands of divers every year and is one of Cyprus' main tourist destinations.
