Beirut switches on its Christmas lights

The countdown for Christmas has started in Beirut and Lebanon celebrated with a lot of sparkles.

The fireworks display is a giant Christmas tree in Martyrs' Square in the city center.

Christmas is one of the most celebrated events in Lebanon where there is a large number of Christians.

Many Muslims in Beirut also consider Christmas to be part of their culture.
