Intu gives consortium led by Whittaker more time to bid

(Reuters) – Intu Properties Plc <INTUP.L> said on Wednesday that it had given a consortium led by its deputy chairman John Whittaker more time to make an offer for the shopping centre owner.
Intu said that the consortium now had until Nov. 15 to make a firm offer or walk away from it.
