MEPs are set to vote on an EU-wide ban on single-use plastics on Wednesday.
Is it the last straw? MEPs have been debating new rules on single-use plastics in an effort to reduce plastic waste in our oceans. The list of items to be scrapped include cotton buds, plastic cutlery, straws which make up 70 per cent of marine litter.
MEPs are set to vote on an EU-wide ban on throwaway plastics on Wednesday.
