(Reuters) - Englishman Oliver Fisher carded the first round of 59 in European Tour history on day two of the Portugal Masters on Friday.

The Englishman made 10 birdies and an eagle without making a single mistake for his 12-under-par effort in Vilamoura, to become the first player to go below the 60 barrier on the European Tour.
