(Reuters) - A 6.0 magnitude earthquake stuck off the Solomon Islands in the South Pacific on Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said. There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.

The quake, first measured at 6.2, was 55 km (32 miles) deep and centred 37 km southeast of Gizo in an area frequently struck by tremors.
