(Reuters) - Manchester City strayed from their tried-and-tested formula by playing with two strikers against Huddersfield Town on Sunday and Gabriel Jesus is hoping for more opportunities to play alongside Sergio Aguero after they combined for four goals.

Aguero struck a hat-trick and Jesus scored one as City cruised to a 6-1 Premier League win at the Etihad Stadium.

"We can indeed play together," Jesus told the club website.

"Sergio and I have the spirit of scoring goals and always try to finish well. I've started this season with the aim to get better with my finishes, to keep helping the team.

"I think there was only one match (last season) where we didn't do well. But usually when we both play together we do a great job."

Brazil international Jesus made 29 league appearances last season with 10 of those from the bench for champions City, who visit Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.
