Aerial video from WSOC-TV in Charlotte, North Carolina, shows firefighters rescue a kayaker who was stranded in debris in the South Fork Catawba River.
The firefighters used a ladder from a truck and a boat to pull the man out on Wednesday afternoon.
The man was taken to a hospital.
