Firefighters carried out a daring rescue to save the lives of two men trapped in a flooded house in southern China.
Located next to the Xialei River in Daxin County, the rural house was mostly used by travelers to stay and enjoy the local life. Heavy rains starting Sunday night made the river swell and flooded the region. The surging river blocked the house exit, turning it into an isolated island.
In order to prevent any electrocution accident, firefighters contacted the local power supply unit to cut off power.
A firefighter was then crane-lifted and transferred to the flooded house where he tossed life jackets to the trapped men, and by fastening ropes around their waist pulled them up and brought to safety.
