Hundreds of female protesters marched to the US embassy in Manila on Wednesday and burned a mock US flag bearing a photo of US President Donald Trump to mark International Women’s Day.
The women called for the dismantling of what they say is the United States’ imperialist domination over poor nations and women.
International Women’s Day, originally called International Working Women’s Day, is celebrated on 8 March every year and commemorates the struggle for women’s rights.
