Sitting on the floor of a community center courtyard with two dozen teens, global movie star, actor Liam Neeson listened attentively as young Syrian refugees – who may not have known of his fame – shared stories of their struggle in exile.
Neeson’s visit to Jordan was his first to the region on behalf of UNICEF – one of several U.N. agencies and aid groups trying to help refugees and their host communities.
Nearly five million Syrians who fled their homeland have settled in neighboring countries.
