In mid October Insiders met with the Spanish Secretary of State for Trade, Jaime García-Legaz Ponce.

In mid October Insiders met with the Spanish Secretary of State for Trade, Jaime García-Legaz Ponce. Together with his Swedish counterpart, he rallied for TTIP support amongst European colleagues. Together with ministers from Portugal, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, the Baltic States, Italy, Ireland and the United Kingdom he sent an open letter to the European Commission, urging a relaunch of negotiations in the upcoming months.

“Latest research is showing that over 300,000 new jobs will be created in Spain if the transatlantic free-trade agreement between the EU and the USA is approved and implemented”, he told Euronews reporter Hans von der Brelie.
