A celebration throwing the spotlight on regional culture in Mexico has got underway.
The Guelaguetza is an annual showcase of traditional dance, dresses and music from the regions of Oaxaca, a state in southern Mexico.
The 84th edition of the extravaganza will see more than 20 delegations from eight regions of Oaxaca perform for locals and tourists.
The celebration is held this year on July 25 and August 1.
