The Honda badge has finally truly won its wings with the launch of the company’s first-ever aircraft.

It is an executive jet Honda says is quieter, 20% more fuel-efficient and with operating costs a third of its rivals.

The Hondajet is to go on a 13-nation tour, fulfilling a long-delayed dream of the late Soichiro Honda who founded the company in 1946. With the demise of Saab Honda is now the only vehicle and plane manufacturer.

It is also the first plane in Japanese history to be made entirely privately.

The price? A snip at 4.2 million euros.
