EU investigators have uncovered the unconventional tax deal reached between Luxembourg and Amazon’s European hub.

The probe alleges that the agreement artificially lowered and capped the on-line sellers tax bill.

Brussels claims that Amazon in Europe received favourable and selective treatment, a breach of EU law.

The investigation increases pressure on current commission president Jean Claude Juncker.

He was the prime minister of Luxembourg at the time Amazon reached an agreement with the grand duchy.
