Champions League: Tough test for Liverpool

Liverpool will be looking to continue their good run of form when they take on Champions League winners Real Madrid at Anfield on Wednesday night.

Although Los Merengues will be without world record signing Gareth Bale after the Welsh international suffered an upper thigh muscle injury last week, Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has Cristiano Ronaldo in arguably the best form of his career.

The former Manchester United winger is just two goals short of Raul’s Champions League record of 71 goals.

Elsewhere Juventus will be looking to avoid a second straight defeat when they travel to Olympiakos while last year’s runners-up Atletico Madrid host Malmo.

In group C, current leaders Zenit Saint Petersburg take on Bayer Leverkusen while the Gunners of Arsenal will lock horns with Anderlecht in group D.
