British gay man held in Morocco for 'homosexual acts' freed

British man Ray Cole held in Morocco for “homosexual acts” has been released.

The 69-year-old was on holiday in the country when he was taken into police custody.

Cole and his Moroccan boyfriend were sentenced to four months in jail after gay pictures were found on his phone.

Cole’s family thanked the Moroccan authorities for “showing compassion.”

Homosexually is a crime in the country.
