A row over government budget plans descended into brawl on Tuesday during a committee session of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia’s parliament.

Insults were hurled then fists when an Albanian deputy accused an MP from a rival party of failing to protect the interests of the country’s ethnic Albanian minority.

Albanians make up to a quarter of FYROM’s 2.2 million population.
