A new football stadium in Budapest has been inaugurated by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán: The Groupama Arena.

With a capacity of 22,600, FTC’s home ground has become the second biggest stadium in Hungary and arguably the safest thanks to its new security system designed to speed up the process of people getting into large sporting events.

Chelsea had the privilege to play the opening fixture against Fradi but the Blues’ preparations for the Premier League season were dealt a blow as Didier Drogba limped off less than 30 minutes into his first start since returning to the club.

Jose Mourinho’s men still managed to seal a hard-fought 2-1 win thanks to two outstanding goals from Ramires and Cesc Fabregas.
