Hundreds of Palestinians carried the bodies of a father and son through the streets of Gaza on Monday.

Residents say both 23-year-old Saddam Abu Moamma and his father Musa Moamma were killed by an Israeli airstrike on their home, along with a 27-year-old female relative.

Meanwhile, a family home in Gaza was destroyed by an Israeli airstrike on Monday morning. All homes in the residential block were damaged.

A second home was destroyed in the Sabra neighbourhood, causing several injuries.

Israel has carried out more than 1,200 air strikes over the seven-day offensive to try to diminish Hamas’s ability to fire rockets at Israel.

Israel says there have been more than 1,000 rockets launched by Hamas and other factions from Gaza over the past week.

The Gaza Health Ministry said at least 172 Palestinians, including 30 children, have died during the conflict, and more than 1,000 have been wounded.
