Simona Halep has secured her spot in the French Open final after seeing off Germany’s Andrea Petkovic 6-2 7-6.
The fourth-seed Romanian player will face Maria Sharapova at the final in Paris on Saturday (June 7).
Halep started off strong and took the first set in just 28 minutes.
Petrovic improved in the second but let an early break slip before losing in the tie-break.
Halep has failed to drop a set on her way to the final at Roland Garros and will move up to world number three in the rankings.
