The World Health Organisation has reported a further case of the Ebola virus in Guinea’s capital Conakry… its first in more than a month.
There have also been cases in previously unaffected areas in the past week.
Earlier the Guinean authorities said the two-month-old outbreak had been contained.
Its spread risks further complicating the fight against the disease in a region already struggling with weak healthcare systems and porous borders.
The WHO has documented a total of 281 clinical cases of Ebola in West Africa since the virus was first identified in March.
Ebola has a fatality rate of up to 90 percent.
