Finland prime minister Katainen resigns

Finnish Prime Minister Jyrki Katainen has announced he will be stepping down in June.

He had been leading a troubled six party coalition since 2011, but is hoping to secure a top EU post after the European elections in May.

The economy minister is tipped to replace him, according to Finnish media.
