Supporters of Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea fought in central Paris on Wednesday prior to their teams’ Champions League quarter-final match at the Parc des Princes.

The fans, who had been drinking for most of the afternoon outside the Frog and Rosbif pub, rushed down Rue St Denis, smashing anything in their path.

Witnesses said that the Chelsea supporters made Nazi salutes and chanted English Defence League songs.

The Blues had 2,000 tickets for the game but thousands of their fans reportedly travelled to Paris without tickets.
