As film publicity stunts go, it’s undoubtedly one of the scariest: a ‘devil baby’ in a remote-controlled pram terrorising unsuspecting New Yorkers.

The footage – which has already been watched by millions on YouTube – is designed to promote new horror film Devil’s Due.

The movie, due out on January 16 in the US, focuses on a newlywed couple dealing with a pregnancy that seems to have a strange effect on the mother-to-be.

The team behind the campaign, viral advertising agency Thinkmodo, used hidden cameras to capture people’s reactions.

This campaign is reminiscent of promotion for the horror film Carrie.
