Injured French skier Tessa Worley will go under the knife next month.

The 24-year-old damaged knee ligaments after crashing at the World Cup slalom in Courchevel in the French Alps.

The injury has ruled her out of the Sochi Winter Olympics in February.

The French team said the injury would keep Worley out for the whole season.

French downhill champion Marion Rolland will also miss Sochi, after suffering the suffering the same injury in training.
