Same-sex marriage laws overturned in Australia

The honeymoon is over for 20 gay couples in Australia. All 20 couples have married since the country’s first gay marriage laws came into force in the Australian Capital Territory on Saturday.

On Thursday, however, the High Court overturned new same-sex marriage laws, making the marriages null and void.
