Olympic downhill champion Lindsey Vonn was back on the slopes on Wednesday, two weeks after reinjuring ligaments in the same knee that was rebuilt following a crash in the World Championships earlier this year.

The 29-year-old has decided to put off surgery until after the Sochi Olympics, which get underway on February 7.

Her time of 1 minute, 59.53 seconds was the 22nd-fastest time among the 65 skiers who finished.

The Sochi Olympics would be Vonn’s fourth Games, having made her debut in Salt Lake City in 2002.
