Manchester United have booked their ticket to the Champions League knockout stages with an emphatic 5-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen at the BayArena on Wednesday.

In group B, Gareth Bale scored a superb free-kick to hand Real Madrid a 4-1 win over Galatasaray and this result sees Carlo Ancelotti’s men secure top spot with one game remaining.

Elsewhere, Paris Saint Germain also progressed after edging out Olympiacos 2-1 at the Parc des Princes while former Chelsea winger Arjen Robben, Mario Goetze and Thomas Mueller each netted to help Bayern Munich thump CSKA Moscow 3-1 in the Russian capital.
