South Korea’s Lee Kengho celebrated gold in the men’s individual Kendo at the World Combat Games in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
Having dispatched Japan’s Hitoshi Shime in the semis the 35-year-old went on to beat Hungary’s Sandor Dubi in the final.
Shime and and compatriot Mitsunari Shinkano claimed bronze.
In the French martial art known as Savate Jonathan Bonnet reigned supreme in the men’s under 60 kilo final.
The Frenchman outscored his Ukrainian opponent Viktor Slavinskyi 5 points to nothing en route to the top of the podium.
