The United Nations is being sued by victims of a cholera epidemic on Haiti.

Investigators claim leaking sewage at a camp for UN peacekeepers from Nepal was the source of the outbreak.

Human rights lawyers have filed a class-action lawsuit seeking compensation of more than 1.5 billion euros.

The cholera epidemic in Haiti has killed more than 8,300 people and sickened more than 650,000 since October 2010.
