Traffic queues of up to nine miles followed the closure of part of the M25 around London.

Police ordered the shut down after reports of a man ‘behaving unusually’ in the area.

An army bomb disposal unit recovered a ‘suspicious item’, but it was found to be harmless.

The Dartford Crossing and two tunnels have now reopened.
